{"id":1552,"date":"2013-05-30T15:29:07","date_gmt":"2013-05-30T22:29:07","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-30T07:00:00","slug":"1552","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/til\/1552","title":{"rendered":"Why does my UVA or UVB sensor display incorrect units in Logger Pro v3.4.5.1 and older?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A change in the manufacturing of the <a href=\"\/product\/uva-sensor\/\">UVA Sensor<\/a> (<nobr>UVA-BTA<\/nobr>) and <a href=\"\/product\/uvb-sensor\/\">UVB Sensor<\/a> (<nobr>UVB-BTA<\/nobr>) causes some sensors to display with incorrect units in older versions of Logger <i>Pro<\/i>. Instead of showing mW\/m2 (that should be a small superscript two) Logger <i>Pro<\/i> incorrectly displays w\/m^2. The sensors are actually reading in units of milliWatts per square meter. <\/p>\n<p>All versions of Logger <i>Pro<\/i> prior to 3.4.6 will display the incorrect units for some, but not all, UV sensors. Logger <i>Pro<\/i> Version 3.4.6 and newer will display the correct units for all UV sensors. <\/p>\n<p>DataMate and EasyData display the correct units, but will lack a space before the unit name, thus running the sensor name and the units together.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A change in the manufacturing of the and causes some sensors to display with incorrect units in older versions of Logger Pro.
