The minimum version of Logger <i>Pro<\/i> needed is\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Original LabQuest: Logger <i>Pro<\/i> 3.6<\/li>\n<li>LabQuest 2: Logger <i>Pro<\/i> 3.8.5<\/li>\n<li>LabQuest 3: Logger <i>Pro<\/i> 3.16.1\n<p>The terminal version of Logger&nbsp;<em>Pro<\/em> is 3.16.2, so in most cases you should be running this version. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If you have an older version of the software, the updater is a free download from our website at<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/downloads\/logger-pro-updates\/\">https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/downloads\/logger-pro-updates\/<\/a><\/p>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"2\">\n<li>If you are using LabQuest 2 or LabQuest 3, make sure it is not set to &#8220;Viewer over USB&#8221; mode. When this is on, LabQuest can connect to the <a href=\"\/product\/labquest-viewer\/\">LabQuest Viewer<sup>&reg;<\/sup><\/a> (<nobr>LQ-VIEW<\/nobr>) software, but not Logger <i>Pro<\/i>. On LabQuest:\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Launch the Connections App\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>LabQuest 2: tap the Wi-Fi icon<\/li>\n<li>LabQuest 3: tap the Settings icon, then tap Connections App.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Tap the Viewer icon.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure &#8220;Enable Viewer over USB&#8221; is unchecked. If checked, uncheck it. <\/li>\n<li>Tap Close to commit the change.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"3\">\n<li>Reboot your LabQuest and try reconnecting it to Logger <i>Pro<\/i>.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Original LabQuest: Tap Home, choose Control Panel, then tap Reboot.<\/li>\n<li>LabQuest 2: Tap Home, choose System, and then Reboot.<\/li>\n<li>LabQuest: Tap Settings and then Reboot.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"4\">\n<li>Keep in mind a few standard USB troubleshooting steps:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Try connecting to a different LabQuest or a different computer.<\/li>\n<li>Try a different USB port on the same computer.<\/li>\n<li>Use a different USB cable. <\/li>\n<li>On Windows, determine if you are getting feedback on the Taskbar that a USB device (LabQuest) is being connected when you connect the USB. If there&#8217;s no bubble in the lower right part of the screen when connecting to a USB port, it is likely that the LabQuest drivers are not installed, or are being blocked by your school&#8217;s IT policies. Log in as the user named &#8220;administrator&#8221;, reinstall Logger <i>Pro<\/i>, and then connect LabQuest.
