Logger Pro 3.8.2 produces some potentially confusing dialogs that must be correctly navigated to achieve the desired setup. There may be changes in future versions of Logger Pro.

*Use the BTA cable to connect the Power Amp to the ch 4 input of LabPro. Connect any other analog sensors you will use at this time.
*Turn on the Power Amp to make the current sensor signal present on the LabPro. Don’t turn off the Power Amp to avoid losing the current sensor.
*Launch Logger Pro. A current sensor in ch 4 will be detected.
*Choose Set Up Sensors –> LabPro from the Experiment menu to open the sensors dialog.
*Click the ch 4 drop down menu (which currently has the PAMP photo in place) and choose Analog Out…
*In the Analog Out dialog set up the output as desired.
*Click OK to dismiss the Analog Out dialog.
*At this point you’ll get a dialog that is potentially confusing. The dialog states that “Analog Out is only available on a Voltage Probe…” and “Would you like to treat the existing sensor as a raw +/- 10V probe?” The correct answer in this case is No. This will leave the current sensor in place, but will still enable Analog Out.
*Now configure data collection rate and duration as desired.

The analog out will already be on at this point. Collect data as desired.

If you save out the Logger Pro session as an experiment file (a cmbl file), note that when you open this file at a later time, you will get a dialog box about analog out being compatible only with a voltage probe, and would you like to substitute a voltage probe on ch4. Again, the correct answer in this case is No.

See also “An experiment using the current sensor of the power amplifier (PAMP) gives unexpected results” for important information on using the current sensor in the Power Amplifier.

The current sensor function of the can be used at the same time as the analog out function of LabPro, but the procedure is not…

[1467,3525,3524,1652
post-2160","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","tag-analog-out","tag-current-sensor-voltage-probe","tag-labpro-logger-pro","tag-pamp
["GET
