These captive screws are used for attaching the mounting plate to a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vernier.com\/gdx-cart\">Go Direct Sensor Cart<\/a>. If you will be using the Cart Fan with a teal, plastic, standard cart or grey, plastic, plunger cart from our <a href=\"\/product\/dynamics-cart-and-track-system\/\">Dynamics Cart and Track System<\/a> (<nobr>DTS<\/nobr>), you&#8217;ll use the three optional screws included with the mounting plate.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"720\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 1280 \/ 720;\" width=\"1280\" controls src=\"https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/til\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/09\/CFAN-on-DTS-cart.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n<p>To install the mounting plate on a DTS cart, do the following:<\/p>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Remove the four captive screws from the mounting plate.<\/li>\n<li>Verify that the force sensor screws &#8211; used to hold the <a href=\"\/product\/dual-range-force-sensor\/\">Dual-Range Force Sensor<\/a> (<nobr>DFS-BTA<\/nobr>) or <a href=\"\/product\/go-direct-force-and-acceleration-sensor\/\">Go Direct<sup>&reg;<\/sup> Force and Acceleration Sensor<\/a> (<nobr>GDX-FOR<\/nobr>) in place when mounted to the cart &#8211; are in the DFS position.<\/li>\n<li>Use the half-inch 1\/4&#8243;-20 screw to connect the mounting plate to the WDSS hole on the cart top.<\/li>\n<li>Use the two half-inch 10-32 screws to connect the mounting plate to the Low-g Accelerometer holes on the cart top.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><a href=\"\/til\/20221\/\">Cart Fan Troubleshooting and FAQs<\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The mounting plate arrives with four captive screws pre-installed.
