{"id":22179,"date":"2024-09-24T16:44:00","date_gmt":"2024-09-24T23:44:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/til\/?p=22179"},"modified":"2024-09-25T14:40:26","modified_gmt":"2024-09-25T21:40:26","slug":"spectrometer-connection-issues-on-chromebooks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/til\/22179","title":{"rendered":"Spectrometer connection issues on Chromebooks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Spectral&nbsp;Analysis 5.0 (and newer) may have Bluetooth connection issues with certain spectrometers on certain Chromebooks running older Bluetooth drivers. macOS, Windows, Android, and iOS\/iPadOS are not affected. <\/p>\n<p>This note applies to the following spectrometers only:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"\/product\/go-direct-visible-spectrophotometer\/\">Go Direct<sup>&reg;<\/sup> Visible Spectrophotometer<\/a> (<nobr>GDX-SPEC-VIS<\/nobr>)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"\/product\/go-direct-uv-vis-spectrophotometer\/\">Go Direct<sup>&reg;<\/sup> UV-VIS Spectrophotometer<\/a> (<nobr>GDX-SPEC-UV<\/nobr>)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"\/product\/go-direct-fluorescence-uv-vis-spectrophotometer\/\">Go Direct<sup>&reg;<\/sup> Fluorescence\/UV-VIS Spectrophotometer<\/a> (<nobr>GDX-SPEC-FUV<\/nobr>)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"\/product\/go-direct-emissions-spectrometer\/\">Go Direct\u00ae Emissions Spectrometer<\/a> (<nobr>GDX-SPEC-EM<\/nobr>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Other spectrometers are not affected. <\/p>\n<p>Google is transitioning most Chromebooks to use a Bluetooth driver identified as FLOSS.
