Logger Pro <\/em>is set by default to display the correct experiments folder when Open is chosen from the File menu. As a result, most users won’t ever have to navigate to that folder manually. Sometimes instructors want to add their own files to this standard Experiments folder. In that case, it is necessary to find that Experiments folder.<\/p>\n

Starting with Logger Pro<\/em> 3.8, experiment files are installed in the standard location for application support files used by Windows and Mac.<\/p>\n

macOS<\/h2>\n

For Mac OS X and newer, the Experiment folder is stored in is the Application Support folder, located in the Library of the main hard drive.

The Logger Pro<\/em> application itself is located here: \/Applications\/Logger Pro<\/i> 3\/<\/strong><\/p>\n

Note:<\/strong> There is an alias stored with the application that will take you directly to the Experiments folder. Also note, for macOS, video files are stored in the same folders (in the Experiments folder) were the Sample Movie cmbl files are stored.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Windows<\/h2>\n

For Windows 11, 10, 8.1, 8, 7 and Vista<\/h3>\n

For Windows Vista and newer, the experiment file is stored in the ProgramData folder, located at the root level of the main hard drive. To find the Logger Pro<\/em> files for the US English installation directly, navigate to
ProgramData\/Vernier\/Logger Pro<\/i> 3\/en-US\/Experiments<\/strong><\/p>\n

Note:<\/strong> Windows hides the ProgramData folder by default. This means that it is hard to navigate directly. To simplify navigation, you may want to set your Folder Options in Windows Explorer, View tab, to show hidden files, folders and drives. <\/p>\n

For Windows XP<\/h3>\n

For Windows XP, the experiment folder is stored in the Application Data folder found in the C:\/Documents and Settings\/All Users folder on the main hard drive. To find the files for US English installation directly, navigate to
C:\/Documents and Settings\/All Users\/Application Data\/Vernier\/Logger Pro<\/i> 3\/en-US\/Experiments<\/strong><\/p>\n
