This issue can be observed in Graphical Analysis or on LabQuest App.<\/p>\n<p>To confirm that this is the issue, you can check the firmware on the sensor. You can also check the Relative Stability Reading of the sensor in the storage solution. Graphical Analysis is the simplest way to do both of these things.<\/p>\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Checking the sensor Firmware<\/h3>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Launch Graphical Analysis.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Click or tap Sensor Data Collection and connect your sensor.<\/li>\n<li>In the list of Connected Devices, click or tap the Device Information icon, <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"18\" height=\"18\" class=\"wp-image-19428\" style=\"width: 18px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/til\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/01\/ga100-info-button2.png\" alt=\"\">, for your sensor. The Device Information dialog will open.<\/li>\n<li>Check the Firmware on your sensor. If the Primary Firmware is 5.3 it needs to be updated. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Checking the Relative Stability Reading (in a pH 4 buffer)<\/h3>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Launch Graphical Analysis.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Click or tap Sensor Data Collection and connect your sensor to Graphical Analysis.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure the tip of the pH sensor is in the storage solution in the storage bottle. (You can also remove the pH sensor from the storage bottle and place the tip in a pH 4 buffer)<\/li>\n<li>Click or tap the live readouts meter in the lower right corner and choose Calibrate.<\/li>\n<li>Check the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/til\/4334\/\">relative stability reading<\/a>. If the relative stability reading is over 10,000 in the storage solution (or pH 4 buffer) the sensor may need to have the firmware updated.<\/li>\n<li>Check the firmware using the instructions above.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Workaround (if you don&#8217;t require a custom calibration)<\/h3>\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>If you do not require a custom calibration for your experiment, you can restore the sensor to the default calibration and the sensor will again respond to changes in pH. Go to the Calibration dialog and scroll to the bottom and select RESET TO DEFAULTS. The sensor will now be restored to the factory calibration settings.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"545\" height=\"330\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/til\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/10\/Notification_Center-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18407\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Resolving the Issue<\/h3>\n<p>A firmware update is required to resolve this issue. A firmware update is expected to be available in Graphical Analysis v6.2 expected early summer.
