Connect LabQuest to a computer using the USB cable.<br \/>\n2. Start Logger <i>Pro<\/i> on your computer. Logger <i>Pro<\/i> should see the LabQuest, and the LabQuest screen should change to the double-arrow screen.<br \/>\n3. Once the double-arrow screen is showing, disconnect LabQuest from the computer. LabQuest will return to the plain screen displaying &#8216;Vernier&#8217; text.<br \/>\n4. Hold the power button down for 3 seconds to turn the unit <b>off<\/b>, wait 5 seconds, and then turn the unit back <b>on<\/b>. It may take longer than usual for the system to fully boot.<br \/>\n5. Once LabQuest displays the LabQuest App (i.e., the Meter screen displaying the File and Sensors menus), reboot the LabQuest by tapping Home &gt; Control Panel &gt; Reboot. Tap OK to reboot the LabQuest.<\/p>\n<p>After rebooting, the LabQuest should display the LabQuest App again and work properly.<br \/>\nIf LabQuest still displays the plain screen or if you don&#8217;t have easy access to a computer or Logger <i>Pro<\/i>, continue on.<\/p>\n<p>6. Do a hard reset of the unit, see <a href=\"\/til\/2433\/\">How do I perform a hard reset on my original LabQuest unit?<\/a>.<br \/>\n7. Once LabQuest displays the LabQuest App (i.e., the Meter screen displaying the File and Sensors menus), reboot the LabQuest by tapping Home &gt; Control Panel &gt; Reboot. Tap OK to reboot the LabQuest.<\/p>\n<p>After rebooting, the LabQuest should display the LabQuest App again and work properly.<br \/>\nIf LabQuest still displays the plain screen, continue on.<\/p>\n<p>8. Update the LabQuest following the &#8220;Recovery instructions&#8221; section of <a href=\"\/til\/2370\/\">My original LabQuest is stuck on the LabQuest logo screen.<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>If this fails to resolve the issue, contact Vernier technical support for additional assistance.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This information pertains to the original LabQuest.
