For instructions, see<br \/><a href=\"\/til\/2638\/\">My Windows computer fails to install a driver for using LabQuest Viewer with a LabQuest 2 or LabQuest 3 via USB connection.<\/a><\/p>\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Manual Installation<\/h2>\n<p>If automatic installation does not work, for example, if you do not have an internet connection or group policy prevents Windows Update from updating drivers, then download the following files:<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Download and extract the driver files<\/h3>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>For 32 bit OSes, download:<br \/><a href=\"http:\/\/www2.vernier.com\/til\/2705\/vernier_labq2_usb_viewer_driver.zip\">http:\/\/www2.vernier.com\/til\/2705\/vernier_labq2_usb_viewer_driver.zip<\/a><\/li>\n<li>For 64 bit OSes, download:<br \/><a href=\"http:\/\/www2.vernier.com\/til\/2705\/vernier_labq2_usb_viewer_driver64.zip\">http:\/\/www2.vernier.com\/til\/2705\/vernier_labq2_usb_viewer_driver64.zip<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Unzip the file. If necessary, save the files to a USB storage device if you are trying to fix this problem on a computer that doesn&#8217;t have an internet connection or if you need to apply the driver to multiple computers.<\/p>\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Install the driver files<\/h3>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ensure your LabQuest is set up to work with the LabQuest Viewer via USB. For more information, see <br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/til\/2971\/\">How do I connect a LabQuest to LabQuest Viewer via USB?<\/a><\/li>\n<li>When LabQuest 2 is connected, Windows will start the \u201cFound New Hardware\u201d wizard, and may ask you if it should connect to Windows Update. Select either option labeled <strong>Yes<\/strong>, then choose <strong>Next<\/strong>.<br \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/files\/til\/images\/2638-connect_to_windows_update.png\" alt=\"2638-connect_to_windows_update.png\"><br \/><strong>Note: <\/strong>You may require Administrator rights for this procedure based on your local configuration.<\/li>\n<li>Choose <strong>Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)<\/strong>, then choose <strong>Next<\/strong>.<br \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"390\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/til\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2014\/10\/image.png\" alt=\"\"><\/li>\n<li>Check the box for <strong>Include this location in the search<\/strong>, then choose <strong>Browse<\/strong>. <\/li>\n<li>Select the folder containing the unzipped file you downloaded; then choose <strong>Next<\/strong>.
