This information pertains to LabQuest 2 and LabQuest 3.<\/h3>\n

The original LabQuest does not support this functionality.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Follow the steps below to wirelessly connect LabQuest 2 or LabQuest 3 to a computer or mobile device running Graphical Analysis or Graphical Analysis Pro.  This option is not available with the original LabQuest or Chromebook.<\/p>\n

LabQuest setup<\/h3>\n
    \n
  1. Connect the LabQuest to a Wi-Fi network.\n
      \n
    1. Launch the Connections app.
      LabQuest 2<\/strong>: Tap the Wi-Fi Icon
      LabQuest 3<\/strong>: Select Connections, \"\", from the Setting screen.<\/li>\n
    2. Tap the gear or network icon, \"\" in the upper right corner to display the Network Settings dialog.<\/li>\n
    3. Ensure Wi-Fi is set to On.<\/li>\n
    4. Connect to the desired network.<\/li>\n
    5. Tap OK to exit the Network Settings dialog.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Data Sharing will not work unless both the device you want to data share with and the LabQuest are on the same network.<\/p>\n

      1. Enable Data Sharing on the LabQuest.\n
          \n
        1. From the Connections app, tap the Data Sharing gear, or \"\", to display the Data Sharing Settings dialog.<\/li>\n
        2. Ensure Data Sharing is set to On.<\/li>\n
        3. If desired, tap the box to allow connected devices to start or stop data collection.<\/li>\n
        4. Tap OK to exit the Data Sharing Settings dialog.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          L<\/em>abQuest will not stream data if this function is set to Off.<\/i><\/p>\n

          1. Rename your LabQuest.\n
              \n
            1. From the Connections app, tap the Name gear, or \"\".<\/li>\n
            2. Enter the desired name, which may include up to 16 characters, but cannot include special characters.<\/li>\n
            3. Tap Done when you are finished.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              Identifying a specific LabQuest to connect to is easier if you change the default name, LabQuest, to something more meaningful.<\/p>\n

              Computer or Mobile Device Setup<\/h3>\n
                \n
              1. Download and install Graphical Analysis app<\/a> for your device.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                The progressive web app version of Graphical Analysis does not support this feature; use the installed app.<\/p>\n

                1. Connect your device to a Wi-Fi network.\n
                    \n
                  1. Connect your device to the same network the LabQuest is using.<\/li>\n
                  2. Verify that the correct network name is displayed.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                    Data Sharing will not work unless both the device you want to data share with and the LabQuest are on the same network.<\/p>\n

                    1. Connect to the LabQuest using Graphical Analysis app.\n
                        \n
                      1. Open Graphical Analysis.<\/li>\n
                      2. Select Data Sharing from the New Experiment menu.<\/li>\n
                      3. Select the Local data sharing option.<\/li>\n
                      4. Select your LabQuest from the discovered devices menu. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                        If the LabQuest name you are looking for is not displayed in the list, tap Specify Source and connect to the LabQuest by entering its IP address.<\/p>\n
