On first use, the ethanol sensor may need more than 5 minutes to warm up. <\/p>\n<p>If the sensor is slow to warm up or respond you can do the following:<\/p>\n<p>1 Expose the sensor to a dilute sample of ethanol (2-3%) for 5 minutes. <\/p>\n<p>2. Remove the sensor from the sample and allow the sensor to return to baseline in air.<\/p>\n<p>Your sensor should now warm up in 5 minutes or less the next time you use it.  <\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>All Vernier ethanol sensors need to warm up for 5 minutes before use.
