The force sensor (aka load cell) reading is affected by minor variations in motion affecting the connection between the sensor and the structure, as well as minor voltage fluctuations.
\nOur experiment files take advantage of oversampling to minimize this effect. Oversampling takes additional data points between reported values and averages those data.
\nFollow these steps to turn on Oversampling:
\nLogger Pro<\/i>: Click on the Experiment tab and select Data Collection. Select the Oversampling check box.
\nLabQuest App: From the Meter screen, tap Sensors and then tap Data Collection. Set the sampling rate to 10 samples per second. Tap Advanced and select the Oversampling check box.<\/p>\n
