{"id":3544,"date":"2019-08-30T19:16:36","date_gmt":"2019-08-31T02:16:36","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2024-03-20T07:26:21","modified_gmt":"2024-03-20T14:26:21","slug":"3544","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/til\/3544","title":{"rendered":"How do I find the MAC address of the LabQuest 2 or LabQuest 3?"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"notice\" style=\"border: 1px solid red; padding: 1em; text-align: center; margin-bottom: 1em;\">\n<h3>This information pertains to LabQuest 2 and LabQuest 3.<\/h3>\n<p>The original LabQuest does not support this functionality.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To find the MAC address on the LabQuest 2 or LabQuest 3, do the following:<\/p>\n<ol class=\"inline wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open the Connections App\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>LabQuest 2<\/strong>\u268aTap on the WiFi Icon.<\/li>\n<li><strong>LabQuest 3<\/strong>\u268aTap the Connections App from the Settings Screen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Turn on WiFi.<\/li>\n<li>Tap the icon* (gear or <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"25\" height=\"25\" class=\"wp-image-8941\" style=\"width: 25px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/til\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2014\/11\/connections-network@2x.png\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/til\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2014\/11\/connections-network@2x.png 96w, https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/til\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2014\/11\/connections-network@2x-90x90.png 90w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 25px) 100vw, 25px\" \/>) in the top-right to display the Network Settings dialog.<\/li>\n<li>Again, tap the icon* (gear or <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"25\" height=\"25\" class=\"wp-image-8941\" style=\"width: 25px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/til\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2014\/11\/connections-network@2x.png\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/til\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2014\/11\/connections-network@2x.png 96w, https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/til\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2014\/11\/connections-network@2x-90x90.png 90w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 25px) 100vw, 25px\" \/>) in the top-right to display the Network Details dialog.<br \/><em><strong>Note:<\/strong> If you were connected to a WiFi network, the MAC of the Access Point you are connected to is shown on the Network tab.
