The updated versions are available here:<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/downloads\/labquest-2-updates\/\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/downloads\/labquest-2-updates\/\">https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/downloads\/labquest-2-updates\/<\/a><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Even if you are already on the latest version, to reset the settings you&#8217;ll need to run the updater.<\/p>\n<p>During the early part of the update, while the screen is displaying the &#8220;Initializing&#8230;&#8221; message, briefly press the Collect key, highlighted here:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"border\" src=\"\/files\/til\/images\/3580-collect.jpg\" alt=\"3580-collect.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>An asterisk should appear after the &#8220;Initializing&#8230;&#8221; message, as shown here:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"border\" src=\"\/files\/til\/images\/3580-update_screen.png\" alt=\"3580-update_screen.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Once the file check is complete, you will need to confirm that you want to reset defaults.<\/p>\n<p>You have the option to reset the following:<\/p>\n<p>System Defaults: including Advanced Preferences, Audio, Light &amp; Power, Orientation, Language, and Time &amp; Date<br \/>Printer Configuration: printer setup information<br \/>Email Configuration: email configuration information<br \/>Network Configuration: network configuration information<br \/>Data Files: user saved LabQuest App data files<br \/>Sound Files: user saved Sound Recorder files<br \/>Picture Files: user saved Camera App files<br \/>User Created Labs: user created lab instructions<br \/>Vernier Labs: any Vernier lab instructions that are not included in the default 102 labs<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"border\" src=\"\/files\/til\/images\/3580-reset_screen.png\" alt=\"3580-reset_screen.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You can find more information at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/downloads\/labquest-2-updates\/\">https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/downloads\/labquest-2-updates\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Related Links<\/strong> <br \/><a href=\"\/til\/18233\/\">Can I restore the 102 Vernier labs that originally came with a LabQuest 2 or the original LabQuest if they were deleted?<\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This information pertains to LabQuest 2.
