Here\u2019s how to disconnect it safely and correctly.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Applies to:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Go Direct pH Probe (GDX-PH)<\/li>\n<li>Go Direct flat pH (GDX-FPH)<\/li>\n<li>Go Direct ORP (GDX-ORP)<\/li>\n<li>Go Direct Nitrate Ion Selective Electrode (GDX-NO3)<\/li>\n<li>Flat pH (FPH-BTA)<\/li>\n<li>Any BNC-connected electrode<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Background:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The Go Direct pH Probe has a detachable electrode that connects via a <strong>BNC connector<\/strong>. This type of connector uses a <strong>twist-lock mechanism<\/strong> \u2014 not a simple pull.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Instructions: How to Disconnect the Electrode<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Locate the BNC connection<\/strong>: It\u2019s the metal connector where the electrode attaches to the amplifier\/body of the sensor.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Grip the outer collar<\/strong> of the BNC connector (not the cable or the electrode itself).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Twist the collar about a quarter turn counter-clockwise<\/strong> (left). You should feel it loosen \u2014 this releases the locking mechanism.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Pull the connector straight off<\/strong>.
