Update to the latest Software Version<br \/>Go Direct SpectroVis Plus (GDX-SVISPL) requires Spectral Analysis v5.0 or newer.<br \/>All other Go Direct spectrometers require Spectral Analysis v5.0 or newer.<br \/>\ud83d\udc49 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/sa\">Check version and download here<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2705 2. LabQuest Is Not Bluetooth-Compatible with Spectrometers<br \/>LabQuest 2 and LabQuest 3 do not support Bluetooth connections with Go Direct spectrometers.<br \/>If you&#8217;re using LabQuest, connect via USB instead.<\/p>\n<p>\u2705 3. Confirm Device Compatibility<br \/>Make sure your computer, Chromebook, Android\u2122, or iOS device meets the hardware and operating system requirements.<br \/>For iPads, we recommend iOS 16 or later for best Bluetooth performance.<br \/>\ud83d\udc49 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/sa\">View system requirements<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2705 4. Bluetooth Setup Steps<br \/>Make sure you\u2019ve followed the correct connection instructions for your spectrometer and device.<br \/>You can review the setup guides here:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/til\/get-started\/spectrometers\"><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/til\/get-started\/spectrometers\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/til\/get-started\/spectrometers\">https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/til\/get-started\/spectrometers<\/a><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>For Go Direct SpectroVis Plus (GDX-SVISPL):<\/em><\/p>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Charge the battery overnight using the AC power adapter.<\/li>\n<li>Unplug from AC and USB.<\/li>\n<li>Press the power button \u2014 the green power LED should come on, followed by a blinking blue Bluetooth LED.<\/li>\n<li>If the green LED does not come on, remove the battery for one minute, reinsert it, and try again.<\/li>\n<li>Also see <a href=\"\/til\/4091\/\">My Go Direct SpectroVis Plus is not identified or won't turn on.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><em>For all other Go Direct spectrometers:<\/em><\/p>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Connect the USB cable to a USB power adapter or a powered USB hub to activate the Bluetooth radio.<br \/>\u26a0\ufe0f Do not connect the USB to a computer \u2014 Bluetooth will not function if the spectrometer is connected to a computer via USB. <\/li>\n<li>Wait for the Bluetooth LED to blink, indicating the device is ready to pair. <\/li>\n<li>Open Spectral Analysis and tap Connect Spectrophotometer. <\/li>\n<li>Select your spectrometer from the list of discovered devices.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>\u2705 5. Disconnect USB Cables from devices<br \/>Bluetooth will not work while the USB cable is plugged into a computer or Chromebook.<br \/>Make sure to disconnect the USB cable from a computer or Chromebook before attempting to pair via Bluetooth.<\/p>\n<p>\u2705 6. Restart Your Device<br \/>Fully power off and restart your computer, tablet, or phone.<br \/>This clears cached Bluetooth settings and often resolves connection issues.<\/p>\n<p>\u2705 7.
