If you find that you cannot get a DC output voltage from the Power Amplifier, try the following:<\/p>\n<p>1) Investigate the signal generator. If you are using a LabQuest, update the unit to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/downloads\/\">latest version of the software<\/a>. If you are using our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/downloads\/pamp-function-generator\/\">Power Amplifier Function Generator<\/a> on your PC or Mac to generate a signal, verify that device&#8217;s sound card is not modifying the output in such a way as to eliminate the DC offset to the signal. The audio cable that ships with the Power Amplifier and is used to connect the LabQuest\/computer to the Power Amplifier is a generic stereo, male-male cable. Swap the one you have been using for a different one.
