{"id":4300,"date":"2018-11-13T22:35:01","date_gmt":"2018-11-14T06:35:01","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2022-11-22T09:44:29","modified_gmt":"2022-11-22T17:44:29","slug":"4300","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/til\/4300","title":{"rendered":"Can I use Go Direct Acceleration with a metal cart?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yes, you can attach our <a href=\"\/product\/go-direct-acceleration-sensor\/\">Go Direct<sup>&reg;<\/sup> Acceleration Sensor<\/a> (<nobr>GDX-ACC<\/nobr>) to the green, metal carts from the Vernier Dynamics System (VDS, <em>discontinued<\/em>) using the gray, plastic bracket (A) that came with the accelerometer and the small thumbscrews\/hex bolts that came with the cart and track.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"border\" src=\"\/files\/til\/images\/4300-gdx-acc_on_cart.jpg\" alt=\"4300-gdx-acc_on_cart.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The accelerometer is long enough that it rests on the edges of the cart and hex bolts are just barely long enough to reach up to it.
