Connect your sensor as described in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/til\/get-started\/go-direct\">Getting Started instructions for your device<\/a>.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Primary Test:<\/strong> Confirm that the sensor was properly zeroed. No. The sensor is set to the stored calibration before shipping. No calibration process is given. However, you may consider \u201czeroing\u201d the force sensor before the start of an experiment. If the sensor is not reading zero in the orientation in which you are using it, follow the procedure below:<\/p>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Hold the Hand Dynamometer in the same orientation you plan to use it. Do not put any force on the pads of the Hand Dynamometer.<\/li>\n<li>When the readings stabilize, click or tap the Force meter and choose Zero.
