Because of this, we have implemented power saving features that help preserve battery life between charges. This is the default profile.<\/p>\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Battery Profile<\/h3>\n<p><strong>WHEN IDLE<\/strong><br \/>\u25cf Screen dims after 2 minute &#8211; Tap the screen or use the power button to recover<br \/>\u25cf Screen powers off after 5 minutes (Sleep) &#8211; Tap the screen or use the power button to recover<br \/>\u25cf LabQuest powers off (Suspend) after 45 minutes &#8211; Use the power button and restore the autosaved file<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHILE COLLECTING<\/strong><br \/>\u25cf Screen dims after 5 minutes<br \/>\u25cf Screen powers off after 15 minutes (Sleep)<br \/>\u25cf LabQuest will not power off<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">AC Profile<\/h3>\n<p><strong>WHEN IDLE<\/strong><br \/>\u25cf Screen dims after 5 minutes<br \/>\u25cf Screen powers off after 15 minutes (Sleep)<br \/>\u25cf LabQuest powers off (suspend) after 90 minutes<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHILE COLLECTING<\/strong><br \/>\u25cf Screen dims after 15 minutes<br \/>\u25cf Screen powers off after 30 minutes<br \/>\u25cf LabQuest will not power off<\/p>\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Always On Profile<\/h3>\n<p>Unit will not dim screen or power off. <br \/><strong>Note:<\/strong> This can reduce battery life by 30 to 50% or more. Use with caution.<\/p>\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Do not dim screen on AC power<\/h3>\n<p>When connected to an external power source, such as an AC adapter, you can have the screen always on. This option can be used with any power profile as long as an external power source is detected.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b9 <em><strong>Note:<\/strong> LabQuest cannot distinguish between external power coming from an AC adapter or an external battery such as our <a href=\"\/product\/labquest-battery-boost-3\/\">LabQuest<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Battery Boost 3<\/a> (<nobr>LQ-BOOST3<\/nobr>).
