You will need new wheel\/axle assemblies for the ones you are replacing. They can be purchased here: <a href=\"\/product\/vernier-dynamics-system-axles-and-wheels-for-cart\/\">Vernier Dynamics System Axles and Wheels for Cart<\/a> (<nobr>WHEELS-VDS<\/nobr>).<\/p>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Remove the cart end cap using a 3\/32-inch hex wrench.<ins><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"150\" height=\"184\" class=\"wp-image-8552\" style=\"width: 150px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/til\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/08\/wheels-replacement-1-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/til\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/08\/wheels-replacement-1-scaled.jpg 2092w, https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/til\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/08\/wheels-replacement-1-490x600.jpg 490w, https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/til\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/08\/wheels-replacement-1-837x1024.jpg 837w, https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/til\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/08\/wheels-replacement-1-768x940.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/til\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/08\/wheels-replacement-1-1255x1536.jpg 1255w, https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/til\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/08\/wheels-replacement-1-1673x2048.jpg 1673w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/ins><\/li>\n<li>While pressing axle down, slide the retaining pins out.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"150\" height=\"200\" class=\"wp-image-8553\" style=\"width: 150px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/til\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/08\/wheels-replacement-2-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/til\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/08\/wheels-replacement-2-scaled.jpg 1920w, https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/til\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/08\/wheels-replacement-2-450x600.jpg 450w, https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/til\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/08\/wheels-replacement-2-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/til\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/08\/wheels-replacement-2-1152x1536.jpg 1152w, https:\/\/www.vernier.com\/til\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/08\/wheels-replacement-2-1536x2048.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Swap old wheel\/axle assembly for new one.<\/li>\n<li>Hold new axle down while replacing retaining pins.<\/li>\n<li>Re-install cart end cap.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Notes<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Center the new wheel\/axle assembly in the cart so that the wheels do not rub on the cart frame.<\/li>\n<li>When replacing the wheel\/axle assemblies on the plunger end of a <a href=\"\/product\/plunger-cart\/\">Plunger Cart<\/a> (<nobr>DTS-CART-P<\/nobr>), the process is the same. The end cap will not come off entirely &#8211; because of the plunger &#8211; but will separate far enough to allow you to proceed.<\/li>\n<li>When replacing the wheel\/axle assemblies on <a href=\"\/product\/motion-encoder-cart\/\">Motion Encoder Cart<\/a> (<nobr>DTS-CART-MEC<\/nobr>), the process is the same.
