mBot™ Ranger robot takes coding and robotics to new territories with three preset building forms—Off-Road Land Raider, Dashing Raptor, and Self-Balancing Nervous Bird—that students can use for their own designs. Using the included sensors, students can also program their robots to perform advanced functions, including obstacle avoidance, line-following, balancing, and more. mBot Ranger requires more construction and programming skills than mBot, but it offers a wider range of possibilities for student-generated projects.
Each mBot Ranger features the following:
- Equipped with a Me Auriga mainboard
- Built-in temperature sensor, gyroscope, light level sensor, and sound level sensor
- Connects to peripheral Ultrasonic Sensor, Line-Follower Sensor
- Compatible with and Makeblock® platforms and LEGO® blocks
Off-Road Land Raider
When constructed as Off-Road Land Raider, an off-road robot tank, mBot Ranger tackles a wide variety of terrain.
When constructed as Dashing Raptor, a three-wheel racing car, mBot Ranger runs and spins like a raptor that is eager to catch its prey.
Self-Balancing Nervous Bird
When built as Nervous Bird, a smart self-balancing car, mBot Ranger remains level when driving straight or standing still and leans at an angle when making turns.
