Go Direct Charge Station Safety Recall
This is an important safety recall. We have recently learned of an issue with an extremely small number of Go Direct® Charge Stations (order code GDX-CRG) that have overheated while charging certain sensors. This product may also have been purchased as a part of a Teacher Pack of sensors (order code GDX-TMP-TP or GDX-PH-TP). This recall applies to all Go Direct Charge Stations purchased prior to December 15, 2023.
What Do You Need To Do?
- Unplug and stop using the Vernier Go Direct Charge Station immediately.
- Arrange for a retrofit of the Charge Station to eliminate this problem by providing your information in our recall form.
- Print out the prepaid UPS label, and send the charge station(s) alone, without the product box, cable, power supply, or any sensors.
You will receive a prepaid UPS label to return the unit(s) for a free retrofit. We will return the Vernier Go Direct Charge Station units to you approximately 2–3 weeks from the date we receive them. If you need to receive your Charge Stations back sooner than that, let us know.
Please note that your sensors can still be charged by connecting them to any USB power adapter with their USB cable.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Please let us know if you have any additional questions by reaching out to support@vernier.com or calling 888-837-6437.
