Introduction
In this activity, students program their mBot with a unique set of beeps, light flashes, and movements to give their robot its own personality. Students learn how to use the “define” block to simplify their code.
NOTE In this activity, students are presented with a scenario designed to engage their creativity and challenge their coding skills; step-by-step directions are not included as the activity is intended for students who are familiar with programming mBot using the mBlock Blockly app.
Objectives
- Write code to add personality or personalize mBot.
- Create user-defined blocks using “define” blocks from the Blocks palette.
- Troubleshoot coding issues when problems arise.
