Experiment #M9 from Coding with mBot: Self-Driving Vehicles

Introduction

In this activity, students learn how to use the mBot Buzzer so they can mimic a car alarm and other warning sounds.

NOTE In this activity, students are presented with a set of scenarios to engage their creativity and challenge their coding skills; step-by-step directions are not included as the activity is intended for students who are familiar with programming mBot using the mBlock Blockly app.

Objectives

  • Practice writing code for mBot to complete a task (car alarm, backup warning, emergency vehicle sounds).
  • Learn how to incorporate the mBot Buzzer into a program.
  • Troubleshoot coding issues when problems arise.
