This process will load the 6.27 version of the LabPro operating system onto your interface. It will also load the most recent DataMate programs.

Instructions for Installing the OS

  1. Install the TI Connect software on your computer.
  2. Download LabPro_Update_Files.zip to your computer’s desktop.
  3. Double-click the .zip file to extract the files named “base6270.hex” and “dm615_73.hex”.
  4. Connect your TI Connectivity cable between your computer and the LabPro or CBL 2 interface.
  5. Launch TI Connect and select the TI Device Explorer option. If required, select the “Data Collection Device” connected to the USB 1 – Silverlink USB cable port.
  6. A device window will open listing the connected device.
    Note: A LabPro will identify as a CBL 2. This is expected.
  7. Drag and drop the “base6270.hex” file on the Device Explorer window for the connected device.
  8. Click OK. This will initiate the update of the firmware. Loading can take up to 20 minutes.
  9. When the update is finished, drag and drop the “dm615_73.hex” file on the Device Explorer Window to complete the update of the DataMate files.

  7. Click proceed. You will notice an operation in progress message at the top of the TI Device Explorer Window. Loading may take up to 20 minutes.
  8. When the update is finished, drag and drop the “dm615_73.hex” file on the name of the LabPro or CBL 2 to complete the update of the DataMate files.
