You should consult with Vernier Technical Support at 1-888-837-6437 and receive an RMA email, before sending the unit in for repair. In most cases you will only need to send in the main body of the unit as shown below. This is true if you need service for either sensor (load cell, or displacement). Sending a smaller portion of the unit reduces the cost of shipping and simplifies the packing and shipping process.

If you are advised to send in the main body of the unit, you will need a 5/32″ hex wrench. You can follow the assembly documents (see link below) in reverse order to most effectively accomplish this.
