During data collection, it is possible that EasyData App will quit if the battery level in the calculator gets too low. The power required to collect data with an EasyTemp or EasyLink is greater than that needed for normal operation of the calculator. If the minimum battery threshold is reached during data collection, EasyData will quit without warning, resulting in a possible loss of data.

This can also occur for long-term data collections where the battery level was OK at the time data collection starts, but can drop low enough during data collection to cause EasyData to quit.

Solution

To help identify when this may be an issue, EasyData will display a warning message indicating that the battery power of the TI-84 calculator is getting too low for data collection. Replace the batteries in the TI-84 calculator whenever you see this message.

Also, it is recommend that you replace the batteries before any long-term data collection experiments to ensure you have enough battery power to last through the entire data collection.
