Yes, older non auto-ID sensors can work with EasyData. To use the older sensors you have to load special EasyData AppVar file(s) onto your calculator, then open one of the files using EasyData. The files that you need depend upon which interface (LabPro, CBL 2, or EasyLink) you are using with your sensor.

Download the files to your computer

Load the file(s) for your sensor onto your calculator

You will need to connect your calculator to your computer and then use TI Connect to send that file to the calculator. Unzip the downloaded file, then load the appropriate file(s) onto your calculator. (See our App and Program Transfer guidebook for step-by-step instructions to load apps onto your calculator.)

Use a file to collect your data

After you have loaded your files on the calculator, follow these instructions for using the file with your sensor.

  1. Connect the calculator to the interface and attach the sensor.
Note: If you are using CBL 2 or LabPro, connect the sensor to CH 1.
  2. Start EasyData on your calculator.
  3. Access the File menu (press [Y =] button), then choose 1:New. This resets EasyData.
  4. Access the File menu again, then choose 2:Open. A list of EasyData AppVar files are shown.
  5. Open the file that is appropriate to the interface and sensor you are using.
  6. You’re now ready to continue with data collection.

Note: you can only use one non-autoID sensor at a time using the files provided.

Supported sensors

The following sensors are supported using the files accessed above. These sensors require a DIN to BTA Adapter (DIN-BTA) to connect the sensors to your interface (LabPro, CBL 2, or EasyLink).

  • 25-g Accelerometer (ACC-DIN)
  • Barometer (BAR-DIN)
  • Biology Gas Pressure Sensor (BGP-DIN)
  • Calcium Ion-Selective Electrode (CA-DIN)
  • Chloride Ion-Selective Electrode (CL-DIN)
  • CO2 Gas Sensor (CO2-DIN)
  • Colorimeter (COL-DIN)
  • Conductivity Probe (CON-DIN)
  • Current & Voltage Probe System* (CV-DIN)
  • Direct-Connect Temperature Probe (DCT-DIN)
  • Dual-Range Force Sensor (DFS-DIN)
  • Dissolved Oxygen Sensor (DO-DIN)
  • EKG Sensor (EKG-DIN)
  • Flow Rate Sensor (FLO-DIN)
  • Gas Pressure Sensor (GPS-DIN)
  • Heart Rate Monitor (Ear clip style) (HRM-DIN)
  • Low-g Accelerometer (LGA-DIN)
  • Light Sensor (LS-DIN)
  • Magnetic Field Sensor (MG-DIN)
  • Ammonium Ion-Selective Electrode (NH4-DIN)
  • Nitrate Ion-Selective Electrode (NO3-DIN)
  • O2 Gas Sensor (O2-DIN)
  • pH Sensor (PH-DIN)
  • Pressure Sensor (PS-DIN)
  • Relative Humidity Sensor (RH-DIN)
  • Student Force Sensor (SFS-DIN)
  • Thermocouple (TCA-DIN)
  • Extra Long Temperature Probe (TPL-DIN)

*The Current & Voltage Probe System requires two DIN to BTA adapters and can only be used with a LabPro or CBL 2. EasyLink cannot be used with this system.
