No. The two-sided clear Plastic Cuvettes (CUV), included with SpectroVis Plus (SVIS-PL) and Go Direct^® SpectroVis^® Plus Spectrophotometer (GDX-SVISPL), can be used for fluorescence experiments. When using these cuvettes, be sure to orient the cuvette so the clear sides align with the detector (ribbed sides facing the fluorescence LEDs) just as you would for absorbance experiments.

Note: If you purchase cuvettes from other companies, avoid buying two-sided clear cuvettes where the non-clear sides are frosted (instead of ribbed). Those cuvettes do not work for fluorescence experiments.
