TROUBLESHOOTING
– If the Emulator can’t see the LabQuest, make sure the LabQuest is powered and connected to the computer before launching the Emulator.

– If the Emulator can’t see a particular sensor, check to see if that sensor is supported. Unsupported sensors include the internal microphone, most USB sensors (e.g., spectrometers, Vernier GPS, and Mini GC), and the WDSS.

System Requirements
-Windows XP (32 bit)
-Windows Vista (32 or 64 bit)
-Windows 7 (32 or 64 bit)
-Windows 8 (32 or 64 bit)
-120 MB of available hard drive space
-If you have an Intel-based Macintosh and desktop emulation software (such as Parallels), you can run the emulator from Windows on your Mac.

Using Specific Sensors with Emulator
The emulator runs LabQuest software version 1.5 and supports many of the same sensors as the LabQuest App. Sensors supported with newer versions of the LabQuest app (1.5.2 and newer) cannot be used with the emulator.
What sensors are not supported by the LabQuest Emulator software?

The emulator cannot be used with the internal microphone and USB sensors (e.g. spectrometers, Vernier GPS, and Mini GC), the Wireless Dynamics Sensor System. The emulator includes two virtual sensors that can be used to demonstrate the functionality of the internal microphone and spectrometers.

The function generator and power amplifier are only available in the emulator for usability demonstration purposes; these features are not functional in the emulator itself.
