Upgrading to the Latest Version of TI-SmartView™ Subscription Software
In March of 2022, Texas Instruments discontinued selling a perpetual license option for all of their software, including the TI-SmartView software. TI now only offers subscription versions of their software. Because of this, the perpetual version of the TI-SmartView software is no longer being updated. To get the most recent version of TI-SmartView for the TI-84 family, you must purchase a subscription license.
If you have purchased a multi-year subscription of the TI-SmartView CE software, updates to the software during your subscription are free. Contact Texas Instruments for instructions on updating your subscription software.
Upgrading older TI-SmartView™ Perpetual Licenses
If you are running an older version of a TI-SmartView perpetual-license software, upgrading to the last-available version of the perpetual-license software is free with proof of ownership. Contact Texas Instruments for instructions on updating your older perpetual license software.
Note: TI-SmartView v5.x will not support data collection with CBL 2 or LabPro interfaces. When using these interfaces, we recommend running TI-SmartView v4.x, which can be installed on the same computer as v5.x.
