How do I sterilize an Ion-Selective Electrode?

Standard cleaning is best done with DI water. If sterilization is needed, use ethyl alcohol (typically >90%) or isopropyl alcohol (typically 60-70%) and swirl in solution for ~10 seconds. Then rinse vigorously with DI or tap water and recondition in the applicable analyte Standard Solution. We do NOT recommend using household or other bleach on ISEs. NOTE: Do not submerge any Vernier ISE past the top of the electrode shaft. The "handle" is not waterproof.
