Since iOS 8, it is possible to get the iPad keyboard into a state where it will obscure one or more entry fields of an application. The most common cause is related to the Splitting and Docking of the keyboard.
The simplest way to overcome this is to press and hold the bottom right key on the keyboard and choose Dock and Merge. You can also disable the split keyboard through Settings>General>Keyboard>Split Keyboard
