No. The 10 mm LEDs sold with the KidWind Power Output Pack (KW-POP) are not resistor protected.

LEDs typically need a resistor to prevent damage from current that is too high. Optimal current for 3, 5, and 10 mm LEDs is usually 20 mA. Going over that can cause the LED to fail.

This is not typically an issue with KidWind wind turbines, which is the intended purpose of the power pack. If you are using these LEDs with another application that supplies more current, it is a good practice to put a current-limiting resistor in series with the LED.
