Yes, a few products sold by Vernier include chemicals listed in California’s Proposition 65.

The California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act, known as Proposition 65 or Prop 65, lists over 900 chemicals and was passed by the voters in California to ensure that people are informed about possible exposure to chemicals known by the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, and/or other reproductive harm. The law requires that most businesses provide clear and reasonable warnings to consumers about potential exposure to chemicals on the Proposition 65 list.

We believe our products are safe when used as intended. But because we sell our products to schools and organizations in California, we work hard to identify any products that might meet the Proposition 65 warning criteria, even in trace amounts, and we are adding the appropriate warning labels to those products. The warnings will also appear on each identified product’s web page.
