Video analysis in recent versions of Logger Pro is not usable on when run on macOS 10.13.x. An inserted video normally contains control buttons to play the video, turn on Video Analysis tools, and the Video Analysis tools themselves.

A problem with Logger Pro when run on macOS 10.13, but not 10.14, 10.15, or 11, hides the images of these buttons. Typically the area containing the buttons is white, but the color may depend on system settings. This affects at least versions 3.15, 3.16, and 3.16.1 of Logger Pro. Version 3.14.1 of Logger Pro is not affected, per testing from Vernier Quality team.

Workarounds include updating the Mac to a newer version of macOS if possible, reverting to Logger Pro v 3.14, using a different computer, or using the Vernier Video Analysis to perform Video Analysis.
