In this experiment, our Chemistry Staff Scientist, Melissa Hill, PhD, studies temperature changes caused by the evaporation of two alcohols and relates the temperature changes to the strength of intermolecular forces of attraction. Data are collected using two Go Direct Temperature Probes and our free Graphical Analysis^™ 4 app. An inquiry approach is presented using prediction tools included in the app.
