The black thumbscrews shipped with DFS-BTA units are just short enough to allow Mass for Dynamics Cart (MASS), to be attached to the cart at the same time as the force sensor. You will need the larger accessory post from the Fasteners for Dual-Range ...
Below are links to experiments with various aspects you could investigate in conjunction with the green roof project. Some of these have been done by other educators as more of a project than a simple 45 minute lab.

It is possible for a Motion Encoder to incorrectly announce its name to the software, causing the Auto-ID feature to fail. This issue is likely to be intermittent, as it is often caused by a bad connection. If the Motion Encoder Receiver is identifie...
The signal from the Motion Encoder Cart and Receiver (DTS-MEC) is exactly the same as that from our Rotary Motion Sensor (RMV-BTD). As a result, you can use the sample Arduino sketch VernierRotary. This sketch is included in our collection of Arduino...
The Vernier Projectile Launcher (VPL) uses some special modes in software, and may not play well with other sensors. The workaround is to connect the other sensor first, then the VPL.
Sensors that we know cause a problem:

To measure and display the amplitude of various frequencies of sound using a fast Fourier transform:
Connect a microphone to any analog channel on the LabQuest or choose Sensor Setup from the Sensor menu and check Internal Microphone and choose O...
Logger Pro is no longer sold and no longer receives updates. As an alternative, use the progressive web app version of our Graphical Analysis app (https://graphicalanalysis.app). See also: How do I connect USB sensors to the Progressive Web App vers...
The Digital Control Unit (DCU-BTD) will attempt to collect data at the same rate as the experiment sampling rate. However, it is possible to sample faster than the DCU can respond to an event that should trigger a response.
We conducted several te...
The Dynamics Cart and Track System (DTS) and Motion Detector (MD-BTD) are a great combination for studying collisions. Setting them up is fairly straight forward:
Attach a Motion Detector to each end of the track using a Motion Detector Bracket, inc...
