This information pertains to LabQuest 2 and LabQuest 3.

The original LabQuest does not support this functionality.

A screenshot can be used by students when creating a lab report or by instructors who want to write their own experiments. If you want to capture a screenshot of a LabQuest 2 or LabQuest 3 screen, there are several options.

Print & Print to File (PDF)

Use the LabQuest Print option to print a screenshot directly from your device. Select Print > Screen from the LabQuest File menu, select a printer, then tap Print. For more information, see Which printers are supported in LabQuest?

If you do not have a printer set up or available, connect a USB flash drive* to your LabQuest, then Select Print > Screen from the LabQuest File menu. Instead of selecting a printer, choose Print to File (from the printer dropdown box on LabQuest 2) or Print to PDF (first option in the Printer list on LabQuest 3), then tap Print to save the screenshot to the flash drive. For more information, see What is the Print to File feature in LabQuest App?

*You can also use a micro SD card with a LabQuest 2.

Email a Screenshot

Use the LabQuest Email option to send yourself a screenshot. Your LabQuest will need to have the email option enabled and connected to a Wi-Fi network that has internet connectivity. Choose Email > Screenshot from the File menu, enter your email address, then tap Send. For information on how to set up email, see How do I set up LabQuest 2 or LabQuest 3 to email data with labquest@vernier.com instead of my own email account?

LabQuest Viewer

LabQuest Viewer® (LQ-VIEW-E) and LabQuest Viewer for iPad allow you to mirror a LabQuest screen on a computer or iPad. The LabQuest Viewer Share feature lets you capture a screenshot to the device clipboard for pasting into a document. You can also print or email the screenshot directly from the software. For more information, see the LabQuest Viewer user manual.
