Our free Spectral Analysis app makes it easy to incorporate spectroscopy into your biology and chemistry labs. Using the app, students can collect a full spectrum and explore topics such as Beer’s law, enzyme kinetics, and plant pigments.

The user-friendly interface walks the students through the data-collection process and includes analysis features such as curve fitting and data interpolation.

Instrumentation

• The Go Direct^® SpectroVis^® Plus Spectrophotometer quickly measures a full wavelength spectrum. It connects via Bluetooth® wireless technology or via USB to your device.
• The Go Direct^® Visible Spectrophotometer is a portable visible light spectrophotometer to conduct Beer’s law experiments, kinetic or equilibrium studies of absorbance, or emission spectrum analysis.
• The Go Direct^® UV-VIS Spectrophotometer is a portable ultraviolet and visible light spectrophotometer for measuring the absorbance spectra of various chemical and biochemical compounds.
• The Go Direct^® Fluorescence/UV-VIS Spectrophotometer measures the absorbance and fluorescence spectra of various chemical and biochemical compounds.
• Use the Go Direct^® Emissions Spectrometer to conduct emissions analysis. It gives precise measurements over a range of 350–900 nm to examine spectra of light bulbs, spectrum tubes, or the sun.

What's New

Vernier Spectral Analysis^® version 4.12 is now available. This release brings in new updates, including expanded graph viewing options, as well as bug fixes for Android users.

Windows^® and macOS™ users can update directly in the app. Navigate to the Other Options menu in the top right corner, select About from the dropdown menu, and then select Download Update.
