Exercise Heart Rate Monitor

Description

With this sensor, a person’s heart rate can be monitored during, as well as after exercise. The Exercise Heart Rate Monitor consists of a wireless transmitter belt and a receiver module that plugs into a Vernier interface. The transmitter belt senses the electrical signals generated by the heart much like an EKG. For each heart beat detected, a signal is transmitted to the receiver module, and a heart rate is determined.

This unit is designed to be used with one of Vernier’s interfaces. It is not a stand-alone heart rate monitor. If you are looking for a stand-alone unit, you should check out Polar’s heart rate monitors.
